There will be at least one English representative at this month's forthcoming European Super Cup tie between Barcelona and Porto - County Durham based printers, HPM Group.
Based in Newton Aycliffe, HPM is one of the regions oldest companies, having been in the printing business for 120 years. They currently produce the match programme for seven different Football League clubs and later this month will print the match programme for the prestigious UEFA final between with winners of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
HPM's work was recognised last season when they were awarded the programme of the year award in the Championship for their Middlesbrough matchday programme.
"It is nice to think that something produced here in County Durham is going to be seen on one of the biggest stages in European football," HPM's managing director Richard Mortimer said in the Northern Echo.
"The Supercup is a very prestigious fixture, and the programme, which is A4-sized, full colour and very high quality, reflects that. It is more like a coffee-table book than a match day programme."
