The Football League have bolstered their war chests with a record five-year broadcasting deal with Pitch International. The company already distributes games in the Middle East.
From next season this will be expanded to all overseas rights to Football League and Carling Cup games which includes the 72 clubs including last season's Premier trio of Birmingham, West Ham and Blackpool.
"The Football League is looking forward to extending its successful partnership with Pitch International onto a global level,” the league's director of business development Kieron Kilbride said in a statement.
“Their expertise in the sports rights market and enthusiasm for our competitions impressed throughout a highly competitive sales process."
96 countries already receive Football League and Carling Cup broadcasts. New markets look on the horrizon as the statement did mention “reaching new audiences in the years to come."
