Arshavin starts Accrington Stanley rout

Pre-season games are notoriously unpredictable but Accross Academy head coach Paul Lodge was pleased to beat league side Accrington Stanley 3-1 on the new 3G facility.

As Lodge explained "we have only been back a week so it pleasing to beat a professional club, it's all about improving year on year and the boys responded well to going a goal down despite creating the better chances in the first half."

The early pressure came from Accross Academy with three fine saves from the Stanley keeper before against the run of play Stanley nicked a goal. The scene set, "Arshavin" Mark Feeley pulls Accross Academy level before goals from Andrew Nesbitt and Jonny Hession reflected the difference between the two sides.

Accross Academy new 3g facilities has become the envy of the North West league sides with Accrington Stanley and Blackburn Rovers already signed up for the new season.
