Belper Town Football Club’s new chairman Vaughan Williams will take control of the Evo-Stik League side’s commercial activities personally as he aims to boost finances.
Williams, who has succeeded from Phillip Varney and had formerly been associated with Carlton Town, has already targeted promotion out of the First Division South next season.
Williams said: "I am really passionate about football and have come to Belper determined to drive the club forward and to make it into a real success on the pitch, something I know that the directors and supporters are desperate to make a reality.
"We need to re-energise the club, provide the supporters with a successful team and bring the missing spectators back to Christchurch Meadow.
"I will be taking personal control of the commercial activities of the club and to help generate the finances that we feel will be necessary to mount a promotion challenge next season."
Williams also insisted he would be as open as possible with fans regarding plans for Town.
"Fans will find me approachable and willing to answer their questions about how we intend to build on what has been achieved so far and how we hope to breathe new life into the club," Williams added.
Williams also owns B & K Demolition, a quarrying business.
