Lincoln Ladies Football Club has secured a sponsorship deal with office supplies firm Danwood ahead of the inaugural FA Women’s Super League which starts next week.
The five-figure one-year deal has been hailed by Lincoln Ladies chief executive Luke Negus-Hill with Lincoln opening their season against Doncaster Belles on Wednesday.
"In our search for a shirt sponsor, a key partnership for any football club, we were always keen to showcase the support that we have from the local community and I can’t think of a company that better encapsulates that aim than Danwood," Negus-Hill said.
"This deal represents another significant landmark for Lincoln Ladies and puts us in a much stronger position going into our opening fixture of the FA WSL next week."
Lincoln Ladies Chairman Ray Trew added: "Danwood are one of the shining lights in East Midlands industry and as a local and international success story it is fantastic to have them associated with Lincoln Ladies as we embark on our first season in the FA WSL."
