Accrington & Rossendale College (accross) will launch its state of the art 3G football training facility with a celebrity football match and sportspersons’ dinner.
Set to take place on April 13th a Puma IX featuring ex professionals such as Kevin Gallagher, Andy Fensome, Andy Lyons and Junior Bent will take on an across IX with stars such as former Liverpool player Mike Marsh, current boys academy head coach and ex Everton player Paul Lodge, Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman and players who have come through the college’s education system to become professionals such as Chris Turner.
The match will kick off at 2pm with free admission and be played on the new accross 3G facility.
Following the match, the college is holding a sportspersons’ dinner in the evening at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Accrington starting at 7.30 pm.
The evening includes a 3 course meal with hosting and comedy from Bill Woolland, auction of outstanding sporting memorabilia and a Q & A with Blackburn Rovers and Scotland legend Kevin Gallagher.

Tickets are £30 or tables can be purchased for £250 for 10 guests. Funds raised on the evening will be split between Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Football Academy provision at the college.
