Since dipping their toes into the sugary waters of confectionary supply a couple of years ago, the team at Heritage Leisure Designs Ltd have seen their initial product range of advent calendars and Easter eggs transform into a veritable candy shop of Willy Wonka-esque proportions with football clubs from West Brom to West Ham enjoying the goods.
And nor is Roald Dahl’s infamous factory a bad analogy, as it's HLD's various chocolate products which have really got end-users watering at the mouth.
Minimum order quantities are attractive for football clubs, starting at just 250, with flavours such as milk chocolate, plain chocolate, white, strawberry, orange and mint, with wrappers designed and printed full colour according to each club’s own specification.
"It's a natural market for us to be getting into," says HLD's Managing Director Andrew Tranter. "The capabilities in terms of branding and customisation achievable on confectionary products are now falling into line with more traditional merchandise lines and we're excited to be bringing our expertise into the confectionary market.”
"The versatility in terms of the chocolate products in particular as a 'pocket-money line', means that not only are they a high quality and proven merchandise line for larger football clubs, but can also serve as an effective, saleable fundraiser for smaller clubs and organisations."
As well as the chocolate bars proving popular among the more traditional tourism and heritage outlets, they are going down a storm on the terraces up and down the country - from West Brom to West Ham...
HLD's ever expanding confectionary range will soon be available to view on their website, and includes products such as popcorn, variety tubs, chocolate lollies and bags of both traditional boiled sweets and the increasingly popular 'jellies' such as fizzy cola bottles and midget gems - all in fully customisable packaging, and competitively priced.
