African side seeks sponsor

Do you represent a business which is looking to advertise and build brand recognition, whilst giving back to the community? Jamhuri Football Club based in Tanzania, East Africa needs your help.

Set up in April 2009 by Blackburn based Arif Yakub, Jamhuri Football Club was launched to help underprivileged youngsters generate funding in order to register their football team in a league and buy some footballs. Born in Tanzania himself, Arif was aware of the terrible conditions that young people face and how they are often left wondering the streets.

Thanks to Arif’s help the present team is fully registered in a league, which began in August however they would need funding from other companies towards equipment to help them throughout the season.

Top of the list are football kits and training bibs however any other items would be greatly appreciated.

Speaking about his team Arif said: “Our players are very talented and desperately need to be provided with funding and support to develop their passion and enhance their quality of life through sport.

In what has been a tough time for amateur football and businesses alike, we're offering you the chance to make a real difference, and would be very grateful for any help you could offer us.”

Sponsoring Jamhuri could help you to gain a vast amount of positive publicity, and the opportunity is a great demonstration to your customers of your commitment to community based projects, worldwide.
