Manchester United pledge £1m to UNICEF

eNewsletter
align=justify>Manchester United has pledged to raise at least £1m for global charity UNICEF.

The fundraising continues United’s partnership with the charity which has lasted over a decade and benefitted more than 2.2m children worldwide.

UNICEF ambassador Ryan Giggs said: "Last year I travelled with UNICEF to Sierra Leone and I saw how hard it is for children to even survive when they live in such incredible poverty. This is just wrong, and I’m so pleased that we are continuing to work with UNICEF to help put it right.”

One of the first countries to receive funding from the new £1million commitment will be Senegal where the partnership will equip 35 child survival centers with essential equipment.
