Manchester City appoint chief brand and commercial officer

align=justify>Manchester City FC has announced Ian Cafferky as the club’s new chief brand and commercial officer.

Mr Cafferky moves from his role as head of strategy at the club, who are currently owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Commenting on his new role, Cafferky said: “We have a fantastic team here at the club and we are 100 per cent focused on the opportunity to cement City's reputation not only as a world-class football club on the pitch but also a commercially successful business off the pitch.”

The move is a part of a restructuring of the commercial department at the club.
