Hull City in takeover talks

eNewsletter
align=justify>Hull City is in negotiations with two local businessmen over a takeover for the Npower Championship club.

Owner Russell Bartlett has been in talks with Egyptian-born father and son Assem and Ehab Allam, who are thought to be worth over £150m.

BBC Sport quotes Assem Allam as saying: "I have been in this area for 42 years and I have built my business [Allam Marine] in the area,"

"I think it's time to pay back the area - Hull City are important to the area."

The club has debts of over £30m after relegation from the Premier League after two years in the top flight and Bartlett restructured the club’s debt in the summer to stay clear of administration.
