Blue Square Bet Premier side Kidderminster Harriers FC has been put up for sale by chairman Barry Norgrove.
In a statement on the club’s official site, Norgorve stated that he believed the club needed further investment if it was to make progress into the Football League.
He said: "I have been here for ten years and have done all I possibly can, and we have had some success along the way.
"We need fresh investment to get where we want to be at the higher end of the table and I just do not have the finances to do that and I feel I am holding the club back.
"We're looking for somebody or a group to come in and buy the club, and I am willing to take a step back to help that happen if that is what's required.”
Norgorve also dispelled any concerns that the club’s short term future was at risk and appealed for any interested parties to come forward.
"We aren't in any massive debt or danger at this moment but we do now need a change to help carry things on because it is a struggle. We are at a stage now where every club needs a financial backer,” Norgrove said.
He continued: "There are people out there looking for football clubs - I know that for a fact.
"I have made this decision and it is final - I really do hope that we can find the right person or people to help push us on."
