Fans of wound up Derbyshire side Ilkeston Town have submitted plans to resurrect the club.
Football Trade Directory reported back in September how the Blue Square Bet North side was faced with a compulsory winding up order over tax debts of £50,000.
However loyal supporters of the club are hoping to lease the ground from Erewash Borough Council and get a team up and running.
Club supporter Duncan Payne explained his position to the BBC: "We're not in it for profit.
"This is where any money that the club makes immediately goes back into the football club and directly into the community.
"We're hoping it'll be successful, we can't be over-confident because there are twelve bidders, so there's a lot of us going for the same prize.
"But we're confident we've put together a good bid that truly reflects what we believe is right going forward for the new football club."
