Leicester City Football Club chairman Milan Mandaric has distanced himself from a takeover bid for Sheffield Wednesday.
Reports had suggested the former Portsmouth owner was interested in taking over at the Npower League One side, with the Owls face a winding up order on the 17th November.
However Mandaric has moved to reaffirm his commitment to Leicester City in a statement on the club’s site.
"I am not currently in discussions regarding the purchase of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, or any other club for that matter," Mandaric said.
"There is no secret of my love for English football and my desire to stay in the game. Until the right challenge is presented, I remain committed to Leicester City Football Club, our owners and our great supporters.
"As soon as I have any news or update on my own future, the Leicester City supporters will be the first people to know, via the club website," he added.
