Lancashire FA will be holding their annual Football Festival at The County Ground, Leyland on the weekend of 8-9 May 2010.
Eighty teams will enter the festival, which is now in its ninth year, and over 800 children will attend.
The festival promotes the work of Lancashire clubs who have achieved FA Charter Standard Status. There will be a range of ‘friendly’ fixtures with age groups from under 8’s to under 10’s and as no results are recorded the emphasis will be on fun. FA Skills Coaches will also be on hand to meet players and parents and inform them of the work the programme is doing in Lancashire.
Roger De Nobrega, Lancashire FA’s Senior Football Development Officer, said: “We are extremely looking forward to our ninth annual mini-soccer festival. We have 80 teams entered over the course of the two days and as in previous years we anticipate that the football will be played in good spirit and be a credit to our Charter Standard Clubs in Lancashire.”
