Temporary structure supplier GL events Owen Brown has won the Exhibition News Innovation of the Year award for their new Absolute structure as voted for by the readers of Exhibition News, as their team is busy in South Africa ahead of the World Cup.
Since launching the Absolute structure Owen Brown has won many high profile contracts with clients including the PGA Dubai World Championship, the British Racing Drivers’ Club at Silverstone and they have been appointed for the first time as supplier of hospitality suites to The Ryder Cup 2010.
Ten of Owen Brown’s build team are currently out in South Africa building the temporary structures for the Football World Cup fan zones and the England team’s media centre. Also this month, building work has begun on the Commonwealth Games site in Delhi where they will be assisting GL events Group with the main overlay contract, which will see them supplying everything from ground works to signage, power, air conditioning, furniture and seating for several thousand spectators as well as over 50,000sqm of their award winning Absolute structure.
