England’s 2018 World Cup bid has attracted support from two more sponsors - SIS Live and Thomas Cook Sport.
Europe’s largest HD and SD outside broadcast and uplink supplier will be offering technical support to the England 2018 team.
SIS has over seventy years of outside broadcasting experience and played a major part in helping England 2018 to develop its broadcast offering within its proposal to FIFA
Speaking of the partnership England 2018 Chief Executive, Andy Anson said: “SIS LIVE has experience covering topflight football and providing the technical facilities for major sporting events. We are delighted they stepped forward to offer their expertise during the development of our bid strategy.”
SIS Live managing director, David Meynell said "SIS Live is proud to be an official part of England's campaign to win the right to stage the 2018 Fifa World Cup. A World Cup in England would be fantastic experience for fans at home and abroad if we won the right to stage the tournament.”
Thomas Cook Sport
The bid’s second new sponsor, Thomas Cook Sport, will host the bids team’s visit to this summer’s tournament in South Africa.
Thomas Cook Sport is the sports travel packages division of Thomas Cook; formed in 2007 they are now Europe’s leading professional sports team and supporters travel company.
Ian Derbyshire, Thomas Cook UK & Ireland chief executive officer, said, "We're immensely proud to be part of the 2018 team, and with less than 200 days to go until the winning country is announced, we'll be encouraging all our customers to support the campaign and get behind the bid over the next few months.
"It's also only fitting that Thomas Cook Sport, who will be taking more England fans out to South Africa than anyone else, host the England 2018 World Cup Bid team's visit to the tournament,"
England will have to wait until December for FIFA’s announcement of the successful host country.
