Craig Whyte’s bid to buy Rangers Football Club is still on course and a takeover may be completed by Christmas.
The Scottish tycoon is currently going through a lengthy due diligence process before he decides whether or not to make an offer for the Scottish Premier League side.
Football Trade Directory reported last month how Rangers fan Whyte was in talks with current owner Murray International Holdings to takeover its 75% share.
Whyte is now set to hold further talks with Sir David Murray, however severe weather conditions may have delayed arrangements.
It is understood that Rangers' debt will be wiped out and significant funds made available for new players if Whyte is successful with a buy-out of the club.
