Witton Albion help our heroes

Evo Stick Division One North side Witton Albion has agreed a new sponsorship with the Help for Heroes campaign.

A generous Albion supporter, who wishes to remain anonymous, agreed to fund the sponsorship allowing a charity to feature on the front of the team’s shirts. Help for Heroes will be emblazoned on the front of Albion’s home and away shirt and the charity will receive an agreed percentage of any replica shirt sold.

Speaking of the partnership Witton Albion Chairman Mark Harris said: "Commercially these are tough times for non-league clubs, and Witton Albion is no exception. We had almost given up hope of attracting a shirt sponsor after having submitted proposals to a number of companies during the summer. When we were approached by a supporter willing to cover the cost of the sponsorship providing we put a charity on the front of the shirts, we were delighted to accept. Help for Heroes was one of the first names suggested and we agreed, together with the supporter concerned, that this would be a great fit."

"Help for Heroes is a cause that sadly touches the lives of more and more people across the country, and especially so locally where the Cheshire's have served the country with such distinction. Our association with the armed forces will allow us to develop a partnership that allows vital funds to be raised for both Witton Albion and Help for Heroes."

Bryn Parry, Chief Executive Officer of Help for Heroes, added: "The football world have been incredibly supportive of Help for Heroes and we at H4H are delighted to see this continue into next season with Witton Albion displaying our logo on their kit."
