Sunderland celebrate two new deals

Sunderland AFC has made a great start to the new season after securing two new sponsorship deals.

Paddy Power

The Premiership side has secured Irish bookmaker Paddy Power as the club’s exclusive online betting partner for the next two years.

As part of the new agreement the bookmaker will be offering improved odds to all Sunderland AFC supporters as well as a free UK£20 bet when they open an account online and stake their first UK£10

Speaking of the Sunderland deal Paddy Power said: "We love our sport and love our football and we'll be going all out to give the fans the best odds, the biggest range of markets and all the team betting specials that add that bit of spice to your matchday fun. With the Black Cats and the Irish joining forces together, we could generate that little bit of luck all teams need for Steve Bruce and the boys to claim a bit of glory."

Lesley Callaghan, SAFC marketing and commercial director, said, "We are delighted to join forces with Paddy Power as it becomes the club's exclusive online betting partner. Its ethos is to make betting both a fun and fair experience which is important to us and we're sure supporters will be very pleased to enjoy some great value odds and offers that are exclusive to them."

Heineken deal

The Paddy Power deal follows Sunderland renewing its existing deal with Dutch brewer Heineken.

Heineken-owned brands Strongbow, Foster's, Bulmers, Kronenbourg and John Smith's will served at the Stadium of Light's and the ground’s North Stand will be officially known as the Strongbow North Stand.

Commenting at the time of the deal Gary Corney, Heineken UK regional sales director, said: "We are delighted to team our flagship cider brand with Sunderland Football Club and the Stadium of Light and continue to support our growing distribution in the North East region. The Stadium of Light provides an excellent showcase for our unrivalled range of beer and cider and we look forward to the Black Cat fans toasting their team's success with our market-leading brands this season."

Sunderland’s Lesley Callaghan added: "We have enjoyed a long-standing and fruitful partnership with Heineken UK and we look forward to continuing this. We are committed to providing our fans and customers with the best possible products and services and by linking up with an internationally recognised brand-leader such as Strongbow, we ensure that we are doing just that."
