Yesterday FTD reported how Bath City had cancelled a planned sponsorship raffle at the eleventh hour following a last minute sponsorship proposal. The new backer has today been revealed as current short sponsor Inter Payroll.
The two season five figure deal is the biggest in the club’s history. Hayes based Inter Payroll had already been announced as the team’s short sponsor (as reported by FTD on 13th July) but it has decided to step up its support for Bath’s return to the top division of non-league football.
Speaking of the landmark deal City Chairman Geoff Todd said: “This is the biggest sponsorship package Bath City has ever had – nothing else comes near.
“There is a financial advantage to working with Inter Payroll but there are also other things that compliment the deal. They have a good web presence and other benefit and it is an exciting time for us.”
Justifying the decision to postpone the sponsorship raffle, which local companies had paid £275 a ticket to be part of, Todd said: “We are always looking to achieve the best result possible for the football club.
“I think those who expressed an interest in the draw understand that and we will obviously be contacting them to see if they wish to help out commercially in other ways
Mikael Anderson, of Inter Payroll, commented: “Three weeks ago we were proud to become the official shorts sponsor of Bath City FC.
“Today we’re happy to have extended the fantastic partnership and the synergies between these two companies.
“Bath City are on an exciting journey and we are proud to be a part of it.”
