Bacup Borough and Ramsbottom unite for good cause

Bacup Borough and Ramsbottom will unite for a good cause prior to their Vodkat Premier League clash on Wednesday.

This week marks the third anniversary of the brutal attack on local couple Sophie Lancaster and Robert Maltby in Stubblee Park, Baccup. Sadly Sophie failed to survive this horrific attack and whilst Robert did survive the boyfriend of Sophie will never be the same person again.

There will be a minutes silence prior to this game & both Bacup Borough & Ramsbottom United players will wear the Sophie wrist bands  which whilst they are in the name S O P H I E  that also stands out for STAMP  OUT PREJUDICE, HATRED EVERYWHERE.

In addition the two Captains will wear a specially designed T Shirt, designed by Sophie’s boyfriend Robert Maltby, these T Shirts will be on show prior to the official launch.

The two captains will wear the T Shirts during the warm up prior to the game and during the one minutes silence.
