Bradford City FC have secured a three year extension from existing shirt sponsors, communications technology provider Map Group (UK).
The deal, worth an estimated £100,000 a season to the Coca-Cola League Two Club, is thought to have been swayed by club chairman Mark Lawn’s offer of a new scheme making 5,000 season-tickets available to fans at bargain prices.
Map Group operations director Andrew Long said: "That really tipped the scales for us to commit to extending our sponsorship deal. This will give the club stability. As a supporter and coming from Bradford, it was only right we also showed long-term commitment to the club and supporters."
City director of operations Dan Baldwin has described the renewal as a 'building block' for the club’s future which will provide some financial stability and aid with their budget planning and forecasting for the next three years.
“The next factor is to keep the fans coming through the door which is why we are hoping for a good take up with season tickets,” he added.
