Former FA chief executive Brian Barwick has been announced as a global ambassador for the football event Soccerex.
Barwick will take part in the European Forum conference programme, which is being moved from London to Manchester. Barwick has previously held senior positions at The FA, ITV and BBC and since leaving his position as Chief Executive for The FA has set up his own sports agency, Brian Barwick Sport and Media.
Barwick has supported the decision to move Soccerex’s European-based business forum from London to Manchester which has also received strong support from the football industry. Barwick is a part of the events initial speaker line-up that also includes Casey Wasserman (Chairman & CEO, Wasserman Media Group) and Jeff Mallett (former President of Yahoo).
The two-day Soccerex European Forum (2-3 March 2010, Manchester) will offer the global football community conference sessions featuring leading industry figures, unrivalled networking opportunities and exhibition halls showcasing the latest sporting innovations and services.
