It's only been two weeks since the launch of the new look footballtradedirectory.com website. But already, those using the site have been fulsome in their praise.
As Commercial Director John Booth explains:
‘Both myself, and fellow Director, George Moss have worked in professional football for over 30 years between us. The idea of a ‘one stop shop’ based on the internet as born of our own frustrations at trying to source suppliers and services in senior roles at Preston North End and latterly Stoke City FC’
‘In a nutshell the football trade directory puts business in front of clubs and clubs in front of business. In simple terms, it is a Yell.com for football’
'Our aim was always to provide an easy to use platform and I think from the response so far that has been done 100%.'
Managing Director George Moss adds:
‘It was always envisaged that the site had to be easy to use and be FREE for clubs to access. Revenue comes from business clients wishing to access football clubs either directly through advertising or marketing or indirectly via consultancy.’
‘It was also recognised from the outset that there is a massive business potential in grass roots football, and that the site needed to have a significant club data base if it was to be of interest to advertisers and users. It has captured the imagination and over 28,000 clubs and 1,000 businesses are registered on the site.’
‘Traffic continues to grow, and our weekly newsletter is free to all those who take a minute to register ’
‘If you look at some of the well known brands that have supported the idea, the website has obviously a lot to offer users and advertisers alike. It has, alongside the sister paper version, become the No 1 directory for football.’
