Coventry City Football Club has netted an annual sponsorship deal for two of its top players with community regeneration specialist Frank Haslam Milan West Midlands (FHM).
The Coleshill-based firm is throwing its weight behind defenders Jordan Clarke and Curtis Wynter, both 17, who are rising stars at the club after making their debut on the pitch with City earlier this year.
The sponsorship package for each player will lead to FHM’s name and logo being used in the club’s programme. The company’s brand name is also set to appear on screens at the Ricoh Arena and on the club’s official website www.ccfc.co.uk.
The Sky Blues commercial director, Nathan Kosky, said: “We are delighted Frank Haslam Milan West Midlands has chosen to support the club and become a player sponsor. Jordan Clarke and Curtis Wynter are young, up-and-coming players and it is great that they are being recognised by a local business in this way.”
FHM is currently coming to the end of a £3.7 million pound refurbishment programme to bring 560 properties up to the Government’s Decent Homes standard in the north east of Coventry on behalf of the Whitefriars Housing Group.
Katy Leverton, Head of Business Development at FHM, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be sponsoring Jordan Clarke and Curtis Wynter at Coventry City.
“They both thoroughly deserve our recognition and have made great strides in their careers after moving up from the under 18’s team with Coventry City Football Club.
“It’s also fantastic for FHM to have our name included in the football programme and on the big screen as although we are well known in Coventry for transforming communities through our Decent Homes work, it’s great to be reaching out to an even wider audience.”
FHM plans to raffle off a signed Coventry City FC shirt to tenants at a forthcoming community event marking the end of its decent homes contract with WHG.
