Manchester United Football Club is carrying out a “multi-million pound” refurbishment of its corporate hospitality facilities at its Old Trafford stadium.
Corporate boxes at the ground will be given outdoor balcony seating and “state-of-the-art in-box technology,” according to the club.
The first phase will see a number of North Stand boxes converted in time for the start of next season. The remaining North Stand boxes will be converted in time for the 2010/11 season.
Mike Bolingbroke, chief operating officer at the club, said: “Old Trafford was the first ground in the country to install boxes way back in Sir Matt Busby’s time.
“The latest development will offer our box-holders greater flexibility and world-class facilities from which to watch a world-class team.”
